The Party of Intimidation and Violence
Outside a hotel in Times Square, delegates to the Republican National Convention
were swarmed by protesters dressed in black and swearing at them. Blocks
away, delegates engaged in shoving matches with protesters seeking to spoil
their night at the theater. And outside "The Lion King" on 42nd Street, a
delegate was punched by a protester who ran by.

and...

The detective, William Sample, was listed in serious condition at St. Vincent's
Manhattan Hospital, where Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly both visited him, the police said.

and...

The heavy police presence at the Garden apparently inspired the coordinated
plan by anarchists and other radicals to strike out at the delegates at their
hotels, breakfasts, parties, and on the streets.

The incidents are the result of months of planning by opposition
groups, who report that they have obtained copies of plans and addresses for
delegates' parties, caucuses and other gatherings outside the Garden.

The Wheels Have Come Off

And the Kerry Kart is swiftly rolling towards the precipice.

The Kerry Daughters™ actually got booed at yesterday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Loudly.

"Shhhhh! You're not Kerrys, so you should SHUT UP!"

(hat tip to Mike at Different tack - see blogroll)

Favorite Chants So Far (Protester update)

“Jesus hates Bush!”

“Bush, Kerry, you will see. Najaf, Najaf, will be free.”

Gawd. What’s next? “Allah akbar!”?

Maybe they can find some burka-clad women to shoot in the head.

Make no mistake, my friends. These people are al-Qaeda sympathizers. The only problem for them is they really don’t believe al-Qaeda is a personal threat to them. They just hate Bush and America. And “The Enemy of My Country Is My Friend,” apparently.

%#^&heads.

Huge NYC Rally Stays Peaceful

That’s AOL’s headline this morning. Lying bastards.

So far 9 felony assaults on New York City police officers by Democrat "protesters."

Way to show your “patriotism,” you goons. Why don’t you give the NYPD a break?

Rumor has it that they’ve set up emergency decon showers for officers after they’ve made an arrest.

To wash the scum-scent off. Yuck!

New Kid On The Block

Well, I should have got to this earlier. I want to give a shoutout to my buddy Mike, who has recently debuted (does that make him a debutant?) in the blogosphere. Look left (which is the only time you’ll get that advice here!) and click on “Different tack.”

He’s got some good things to say, and if you like down-in-the-pit politics, he’ll prove satisfying. Check it out.

What are you waiting for? GO!

The New Soldier, by John Kerry (free download)

Heh heh. Well, it looks like Kerry’s best efforts to erase this literary masterpiece of his (buying up as many copies as he could and refusing to let it be reprinted) have, once again, come to naught. I guess he didn’t take Al Gore’s Internet into account. So much behind the curve. Tsk tsk.

Well, now it’s available in the new era of freely-available, and uncontrolled information exchange. Here’s the link: http://www.freekerrybook.com/

Or download it directly here: http://freekerrybook.com/NEWSOLDIER.PDF

Now you, too, can read Monsieur Kerry’s own words, in all their glory.

904. Art. 104. Aiding The Enemy

Lieutenant (JG) John Forbes Kerry left active duty in 1970, and was, as would be normal, placed in the Reserves. He left the Reserves in 1978. (Link: http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/jkmils...val_Reserve.pdf )

During his Reserve service, Mr. Kerry was still bound by the restrictions and rules enforced by the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). (Link: http://ohmr.ohio.gov/docs/regulations/ucmj.pdf )

Senator Kerry has stated that he met with North Vietnamese Communist and Viet Cong officials in Paris in 1970. FBI files confirm that he also met with North Vietnamese officials in 1971. During this period of time, Mr. Kerry was an Officer in the United States Naval Reserve.

From the UCMJ we get the following:

802. ART. 2. PERSONS SUBJECT TO THIS CHAPTER ... (6) Members of the Fleet
Reserve and Fleet Marine Corps Reserve.

Therefore, Mr. Kerry was still under the provisions of the UCMJ until his full discharge from the Reserves in 1978. Also, from the UCMJ, we get:

904. ART. 104. AIDING THE ENEMY Any person who-- (1) aids, or attempts to aid,
the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things; or (2)
without proper authority, knowingly harbors or [protects or gives intelligence
to or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the
enemy, either directly or indirectly
; shall suffer death or such other
punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct.

-emphasis added

Hostilities between the United States and Viet Nam ended on January 27th, 1973 (Link: http://www.gruntonline.com/TheWar/peace_accord1.htm ) Until that time, North Vietnamese forces and officials were classified as “the enemy.”

Therefore, Mr. Kerry committed a serious crime when he negotiated with the enemy independently, and without proper authorization.

The Violence Has Begun

In what has become a trademark Democratic style of political debate, a Kerry supporter, unable to confront a Bush supporter with words, decided to make his point by alternative means.

John Kerry stumped at the Tacoma Dome yesterday. Outside were Kerry supporters and Bush supporters. As you could clearly see on the video tape (broadcast on local station King 5 http://king5.com), the Bush supporter was standing there with his arms in the air when the Kerry supporter looked over his shoulder at him and punched the Bush supporter in the face.

(Link to site [look for “Confrontation between Kerry and Bush supporters”}: http://www.king5.com/topstories/stories/NW_082804WABkerryEL.c00d5a3c.html )

Ted Rall is in the swing of the Democrats’ new winning tactic as well. His recent column speaks of Republican convention-goers and notes that, “Objects will be thrown in their direction.” And, “Republicans who venture outside the Garden deserve the abuse ordinary New Yorkers will likely inflict upon them.”

(link: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=127&ncid=748&e=2&u=/ucru/20040818/cm_ucru/nyctogopdropdead ) (Note: be careful when you read this. Ted Rall is a racist liberal and anti-American columnist and cartoonist [though printed in mainstream papers] who lies damn near incessantly – the 83% poll he quotes is intentionally deceptive [link: http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/news/gopcon/wabc_gopcon_080804_pollworries.html ])

Point is: there will be violence during the convention. It will be the anti-Bush people committing it. Property will be damaged. NYPD officers will be injured in their crowd-control efforts.

Strangely enough, the Boston police didn’t happen to have these problems with the anti-Kerry crowd. I wonder why that is? Is it because it has now gotten so desperate for the Democrats that they’ve decided to opt for violence to make their point?

Maybe those UN election monitors weren’t such a bad idea after all.

Simply Embarrassing

I cannot believe what I saw tonight in the men’s 200m. Or, rather, what I saw before it.

The Greeks were booing and whistling to such an extent that they delayed, repeatedly, the start of the race. They did it because they were angry over the fate of their own star athlete in this event. And NBC reports that there have been Greek newspaper reports that Americans were responsible for the Greek athlete’s drug problems.

I plan on acknowledging and congratulating the Greeks on hosting a truly spectacular Olympics when this is over, because they have been spectacular. But this was an ugly, disrespectful and un-sportsmanlike display.

For shame.

Getting that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach yet? Have we got you so wired that you don’t know where to expect the next landed punch? Starting to wonder whether those WMDs might show up at any moment?

Fearing the next dreaded poll results?

Only realizing now that the RNC Convention is next week, and cowering in fear over what that’s likely to mean?

Surprised and intimidated over Kerry’s recent efforts to lower expectations for the upcoming debates (But John was supposed to kick Bush’s ass in the debates!).

Then you may be suffering from DDS (defeat denial syndrome). We have a treatment available for you, to ease you, and soothe you.

But you can’t have it because I don’t frickin’ care. You can suck wind. Ha!

Losers.

The dragon is stirring.

I’ve been away, enjoying chasing Dems down in their own dens. Having a little mean-spirited fun. Indulging in my perverted joy at hearing the agonized screeches of tormented libs when confronted with in-your-face facts.

We’ve rounded the curve, even before we entered the home stretch. Even I didn’t predict that Kerry would implode so effectively (John! Don’t point that RPG at your shorts! Nooooo!). Even I didn’t foresee that he’d be suffering from the same myopia as Rockefeller, with regard to misjudging the current (lack of) dominance of the mainstream media. They’re on his side, no doubt, but it’s no longer enough to save him. This ain’t the 1970s anymore.

Too bad for him. (wicked evil, self-satisfied, smirk of impending triumph)
