Bastards

Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) made a brief stop at the airport as he concluded his two-day bus tour to locations in West Virginia and Ohio. Gee, isn’t that sweet? The Party O’ Tolerance™ strikes again.

Comments:
Sadly though it looks like this guy is just a scammer exploiting his daughter. What a shameless excuse for a father.

Okay, I’m willing to accept your criticism and your link. If this nutball is putting his daughter in what is inherently dangerous situation (and, ahem, why should it be so?) then that’s not just stupid, it’s criminal negligence. No argument: you’re right.

That said, please explain to me the forest-for-the-trees issue of why such an environment should be inherently dangerous? And why is it that those of our friends on the left feel it necessary, or even beneficial, to commit violence and acts of vandalism in order to try to silence their opponents? I can point to examples of left violence & vandalism (and have done so here).

Does this trend not disturb you? And is it not a more pertinent subject than whether some tool makes himself a willing serial-victim?

And, as was pointed out by a link from the link you provided, the union involved has apologized ( http://www.ibpat.org/news/WVa.html ), which is a solid, stand-up thing for them to do (and it should be applauded). But it does tend to answer the question as to whether this was a “manufactured” incident, regardless of Parlock’s own willing participation (though I still condemn him for putting the girl in that situation).
