Enjoy The Show – Be Prepared To Evacuate
Mozart’s Idomeneo, featuring the severed heads of Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed and Poseidon, is opening in Berlin. The police there will be asking audience members to remove all metal objects, and also to be prepared to evacuate in case of a bomb threat.
The fear is, of course, that outraged Christians, Buddhists and followers of Greek Mythology may be so offended by the severed heads that they may commit some act or threat of violence against the theater and its patrons.
Oh wait, I got that wrong. It’s the followers of the Religion of Peace™ that might be offended. Sorry.
